With designers choosing mainstream retailers like Topshop, H&M and Uniqlo to collaborate with, I was as interested as I was excited to learn about the Alex Monroe collaboration with plus sized retailer Evans.

An unusual pairing at first thought however it made perfect sense having learned that Monroe wanted to work with brand where he could cater to an inclusive market. Wanting to keep to his ‘egalitarian’ way of working, this is probably a perfect collaboration for the two brands since the Evans ethos is to dress women of all shapes and sizes.

Inspired by 1950’s glamour, the collection entitled Alouette keeps in line with the designers nature inspired designs and comprises of gold intertwining leaves and pearls in an 8 piece collection which is accessible and desirable for all.
